Heidi Hadley – Mindful Somatics & Neuroplasticity 2025
Unlock more freedom, joy, and vitality through the transformative art of mindful somatics.
Experience how intentional movement can relieve chronic pain and soothe your nervous system while rewiring your brain, boosting neuroplasticity, and helping you reconnect deeply with your body so you can move with grace and ease.
Imagine moving through your day feeling lighter, more fluid, and free of tension and pain — waking up refreshed, able to stand taller, breathe deeper, and perform everyday tasks with ease.
Whether you spend most of your time sitting at a desk, exercising, dancing the night away, playing the piano, or simply tending to the maintenance of your daily life…
… your routines have likely created unhealthy movement patterns and ways of holding yourself that can lead to chronic pain, stiffness, tight muscles, and general discomfort — keeping you from enjoying your life to the fullest and engaging in all the activities that provide you with joy and meaning.
According to Heidi Hadley, a Certified Clinical Somatic Educator and the founder of Total Somatics®, we tend to armor ourselves in response to pain and tension by “hunkering down” and moving within a very small bubble.
In Heidi’s 20+ years of experience helping clients reduce pain and recover from injuries, surgeries, and more, she has treated many people who attempted a variety of practices — yoga, stretching, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. — but hadn’t yet found a solution to their challenges… until they met her!
She shares that repetitive habits, health challenges, injuries, and even emotional trauma can lead to highly restrictive movements, creating continuous contraction — and our brain forgets that we can actually enjoy a much larger range of mobility. This dynamic is called sensory motor amnesia which can lead to a wide variety of destabilizing and unpleasant chronic issues and cycles of pain.
The good news is that we can retrain or rewire our brains to communicate more effectively with our bodies, says Heidi, through easy-to-do targeted somatic movements, particularly what’s known as pandiculation — a natural, neuromuscular technique and alternative to stretching that enables us to improve our brain’s ability to move our muscles without undue pain and effort.
These exercises can retrain your brain to sense, feel, and observe subtle internal feedback, identifying areas of tightness, rigidity, or restriction, and allowing your muscles to release tension naturally.
Heidi’s course can guide you in regaining control of your body and establishing sustainable health habits that support both physical and mental wellbeing, helping you maintain flexibility, balance, and strength over time.
In her 7-module self-paced video course, you’ll learn how to replace sensory motor amnesia with enhanced neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to adapt and create new healthier neural pathways through gentle and mindful somatic movements, enabling you to release the stress you hold in your body.
When you do this, your mind will be able to communicate more effectively with your muscles, allowing your body to reset, relax, and restore its natural rhythm — improving your posture, mobility, and flexibility.
You’ll also discover how mindfulness helps you become more present and notice previously unconscious habits and movement patterns.
Heidi’s course equips you with the tools you need to unlock your body’s potential by integrating easy-to-do somatic movements in every session — mindset transformation, mindfulness practices, and gentle breathing exercises — creating lasting change that sustains a vibrant, healthy lifestyle.
During this healing and experiential program, you’ll:
- Learn to release persistent muscle tightness and discomfort through mindful somatic movements that retrain your brain-body connection
- Experience increased range of motion, flexibility, and ease of movement through guided techniques that improve muscle function and joint health
- Address the root of chronic pain by relaxing tight muscles and improving neuromuscular control, leading to sustained relief
- Discover how to correct postural imbalances, leading to better alignment and reduced strain on your body
- Integrate mindfulness for calming your nervous system, reducing stress, promoting relaxation, and enhancing your emotional resilience
- Practice mindful movements and intentional breathing exercises with rib-release techniques to activate the body’s relaxation response
- Learn methods to regain control and function from habitual patterns that have caused your brain to lose awareness of certain muscles (sensory motor amnesia)
- Learn and practice pandiculation techniques to increase muscle length and function — reducing tension and improving your mobility and range of motion
- Cultivate a mindful approach to movement and daily life, fostering a positive mindset that supports overall wellbeing
- Learn strategies to maintain muscle health and body awareness
- Equip yourself with practical tools and knowledge for sustainable long-term results
- And much more…
This program isn’t just about physical movement — you’ll also gain techniques and insights for managing daily stress and improving your mood. When you incorporate these practices into your life, you’ll feel a greater sense of joy and calm, with more bandwidth to face challenges as they arise.
Through practical examples and guided movement, Heidi’s course offers ways to reshape your thought patterns and break free from self-limiting beliefs, moving you toward a sense of empowerment and openness to possibilities for growth, resilience, confidence, and adaptability.
